Upper Deadman's Creek at the Large Baldcypress (Taxodium distichum)

This general area has always been moist, if not wet. The baldcypress has grown very large and together with other trees now shade an area that was once open and sunny. But the creek pool below the baldcypress became dry for the first time in June 2009.
